The platform launches applications developed by Advent eModal, eModal customers and entrepreneurial third party developers who enjoy access to the global eModal marketplace and user community.

All applications share a single user sign on and authentication (SSO) and a shared data store.  Utilizing microservices architecture, each app on the platform provides a specific purpose built business function, built to the eModal development standard and independent of the other apps.  So the apps run independently to optimize performance communicating with each other using standard APIs.

The Advent eModal team developed the eModal SaaS platform to serve a dedicated set of beneficial cargo owners (BCOs) and their vendors—namely marine terminal operators (MTOs), logistic service providers (LSPs), rail terminal operators and intermodal equipment providers (IEPs). 

Active in every North American port gateway, eModal is a neutral third party to help ports and terminals implement technology innovation to remain competitive.

eModal exists to optimize intermodal terminal yard operations by aligning on-terminal servicing capacity (by yard area, move type, container position and cargo status) with the motor carrier and shipper mission planning.

Trucks arrive when containers are available, cleared and ready to go. eModal shares all pertinent information in advance, enabling gate automation, lower container dwell and predictable fast truck turn times. 

eModal is also globally deployed in Europe, Central & South America, Australia and the Hawaiian Islands.
