Our vision is that EDS should eliminate the need to use the eModal.com website entirely, however you may be asked to manage certain exceptions that arise there while we expand the API capabilities.

How long until I get data flowing?
Typically 2-3 weeks after sign up for basic container availability status. Additional services to notify partners or to make pre-advise/appointments with all your terminals takes a bit more time to set up.
What interface methods do you support to exchange data?
What interface methods do you support to exchange data?To send Track & Trace requests (inbound to EDS), there are two options;
  1. RESTful API
  2. Microsoft Azure Service Bus (ASB)
From there we will send status updates (Outbound from EDS) via the Microsoft ASB. using a secured http endpoint and token that we’ll provide during onboarding. How does EDS help me?  What's the ROI?
EDS helps eliminate some of the routine tasks you and your staff perform every day such as searching or updating container information, finding vessel schedules, making appointments and paying fees. Typically, this saves up to 20 mins. per container through its lifecycle.
